This is a report on the News and Events of the T&D Programme that took place last week. Staff of the Theology and Development Programme and other partners were involved in the coordination and facilitation of these events.

The Theology and Development Programme welcomes our first post-doctoral scholar Dr Noah K Tenai. Dr Tenai hails from Kenya and has been based in Cape Town for several years. We look forward to his research contribution in the Programme under the supervision of Dr Clint Le Bruyns.
Three postgraduate students in the School of Religion, Philosophy and Classics participated in a Global Young Adult Festival (www.sabeel.org) in Bethlehem during 1-6 July on issues related to development. 3rd-year students interested in Theology and Development are encouraged to enroll for the elective “Political and Economic Ethics” (SYTH380). This module is team-taught by Dr Clint Le Bruyns (Theology and Development), Dr Roderick Hewitt (Systematic Theology), and Dr Federico Settler (Sociology of Religion).    
As the 2nd semester commences on Wednesday 24th July, we welcome back our returning students. A special word of welcome to our new students. Registration takes place 23rd July.
